West Ham United manager David Moyes has provided an injury update on Lucas Paqueta, Craig Dawson and Maxwel Cornet ahead of Monday’s trip to Bournemouth.
Brazil international Paqueta missed Wednesday night’s 1-0 defeat with Liverpool following a shoulder issue, and with the World Cup in Qatar starting in a month’s time, there were initial concerns the midfielder may miss the tournament.
However, speaking on the issue, which Paqueta has himself said would keep him out of training for two weeks, Moyes said it is not as serious as first feared, but the club remain cautious over it.

“Just at the moment, we don’t think it’s maybe as serious as we maybe had feared at first,” said Moyes on Paqueta.
“I know the injury is an injury which is not normal for football players, so from that point of view we have to treat it slightly different. Hopefully, we will get him back shortly.”
There is a chance that centre-back Craig Dawson (dead leg) and winger Maxwel Cornet (calf) could return from their respective issues for the game.
It may come too soon for Cornet, who has missed the last five games, while Dawson has missed the last two, having come off in the home win over Anderlecht.
“Hopefully, both of them have a chance,” added Moyes. “Maxi is back on the grass, it might come a bit too quick for Maxi.”
