There are several smaller roadworks planned for this weekend that may affect commuters across the city. Dublin City Council confirmed that Bedford Lane in Dublin 2 would be closed to pedestrians and general traffic from 9am-6pm on Saturday. Separate access for residents on Bedford Lane will be made available.
Diversions will also be in place the following weekend to accommodate the Irish Life Dublin Marathon, which takes place over October 29 and 30. Drivers travelling to the city centre from Stillorgan Road will be diverted through Mount Merrion Avenue, Rock Road, Merrion Gates, Strand Road, Beach Road, Irishtown Road, Ringsend Road and Pearse Street.
Meanwhile, north city traffic on either Ballymun or Finglas Road will be diverted through Whitworth Road, Dorset Street and Gardiner Street. The level of diversions will vary as the marathon proceeds.
