LSU's Jayden Daniels Makes History With Eye-Popping Numbers Against Florida

LSU hasn’t been the best team in the SEC this season—nor has it been the best team in the West Division, nor even the second-best.

No quarterback in the conference, however, has performed with the dynamism of Tigers signal-caller Jayden Daniels.

On Saturday, Daniels asserted his Heisman credentials against Florida by reaching a milestone never before accomplished in FBS: throwing for 350 yards and rushing for 200 in the same game.

To be precise, Daniels amassed 372 yards passing on 17 completions for three touchdowns to go with 234 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Shaking off its loss last week to Alabama, LSU defeated the Gators 52–35.

Against the Crimson Tide, Daniels exited with a head injury as Alabama downed the Tigers, 42–28. He entered Saturday evening averaging 310 passing yards and 76 rushing yards per game.

A 701-yard onslaught later, LSU and its superstar both appear to be back on track.
