On Saturday night, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was awarded for his remarkable season by being selected as the winner of the 2023 Heisman Trophy. Daniels edged out Washington quarterback Michael Penix with a total of 2,029 to 1,701.
Here is how Daniels award-winning season broke down by the numbers.
– 236/327 (72.2%)
– 4946 total yards
– 50 total TDs
– 4 INTs
– 9-3 record
Going into the season, Daniels got very little hype compared to guys like Caleb Williams and Drake Maye but neither of those players even finished in the Top 10 in the final voting.

Looking ahead to the 2024 NFL draft, Daniels might have parlayed his huge year into a high first-round pick. Similar to Anthony Richardson last season, Daniels is going to parlay his massive season as the flies up draft boards. We wouldn’t be shocked if Daniels is the top quarterback on many team’s draft boards as we head straight into draft season.
