NEW DELHI: Lucknow Super Giants went all out at the two-day Indian Premier League 2025 Auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as they splashed out a whopping Rs 119.90 crore to pick 24 players for the upcoming editions of the cricketing extravaganza.
While making the record of buying the most expensive player ever at the auction -- shelling out Rs 27 crore for Rishabh Pant -- LSG also made quite a few smart picks to make a near-perfect squad.
LSG had earlier retained Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni and at the auction they bought a total of 19 players.
On the first day, LSG made headlines with the Pant buy and then on Day 2, they focussed on boosting the bench their strength, making quite a few budget-friendly picks from the pool of over 500-plus players.
