The FBI will no longer automatically reject job applicants who have paid for sex, a quiet loosening of its once-rigid hiring code as the bureau scrambles to refill ranks hollowed out by resignations, firings and retirements.
Under the change, recruiters will weigh the circumstances of a candidate's past encounters with prostitutes rather than treat the conduct as an automatic disqualification.
