Partick Thistle moved back within two points of surprise William Hill Championship leaders Stenhousemuir after Seb Drozd scored the only goal in the 38th minute to earn a narrow 1-0 win at home to Ayr.
Stenhousemuir’s victory at Livingston on Friday night momentarily opened up a five-point gap at the summit, but Thistle reduced the deficit and Raith Rovers are also only four off the early pace-setters following a 2-0 triumph at Inverness.
