Lower inflation – what it means for bills, taxes and shopping

The rate of inflation went down last month to 2.8 per cent, with falling clothing prices largely behind the dip, which has eased pressure on Rachel Reeves.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) said on Wednesday that it expects UK gross domestic product to rise by 1 per cent in 2025.
