A low system will cause Ireland to get a lot colder in the next couple of days - as Met Eireann have predicted we'll get some frost and potential wintry showers thanks to freezing temperatures.
Two areas are at risk of snow in the next few days as a result of the pressure system sweeping across Ireland.
An Atlantic airflow is to thank for it.
A Met Eireann prediction said: "Although the dominant airflow appears to be from a mild southwesterly direction during the period, the positioning of the centre of the high to the southwest of Ireland in the near Atlantic will also favour a cold northwesterly airflow at times, which could bring brief periods of colder temperatures
"Potential hazards include fog, and occasionally frosty and icy conditions with the chance of wintry showers, chiefly in the north and northwest."
The prediction added that Friday will see "a few bright spells possible in eastern parts at first , but cloud will continue to increase from the west, bringing a little patchy light rain and drizzle especially to Atlantic coastal counties. Mild, with highest temperatures ranging 10 to 13 degrees. Becoming a little breezier through the day.
Friday night will stay mild, but more persistent rain will move into the northwest towards morning.
Saturday will start windy and with clouds, with the chance of scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.
The prediction continued: "However, drier brighter weather will follow from the northwest in the afternoon as sunny spells develop. Winds will ease to a moderate northwesterly through the afternoon. Mild with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
"Dry, cold and clear with some frost early on Saturday night. Becoming cloudy overnight with patchy drizzle developing in the west and southwest. Lowest temperatures generally of 0 to 4 degrees in light variable or southerly breezes."
