A love triangle and two specks of gunpowder were used to help prove killer Thomas Cashman was the gunman who shot Olivia Pratt-Korbel dead in her home.
Cashman's Under Armour tracksuit bottoms were found to contain small amounts of gunpowder following the schoolgirl's murder in her own home on Kingsheath Avenue in Dovecot on the evening of August 22 last year.
The 34-year-old, of Grenadier Drive in West Derby, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 42 years this week after being unanimously found guilty of murder.
