Love rival 'crushed to death' in backyard

With his love rival standing defiantly in front of his four-wheel-drive armed with a metal pole, Joshua Smith put the vehicle in first gear and slammed his foot on the accelerator.

Smith, 36, drove forward 6.9 metres, crushing Ewan Sams against the backyard garage of his NSW Hunter home and causing fatal injuries.
