All the Welsh Love Island contestants and what they are doing now

Love Island is in its tenth season having aired a double dose of the popular ITV2 dating show in 2023. The winter series kicked off in the New Year from South Africa, while the show is set to return to Mallorca on Monday, June 5.

The show sees a group of singletons spend almost eight weeks in a villa trying to find love and win £50,000 in the process. There have been a handful of Welsh winners including Merthyr-born bricklayer Liam Reardon with fashion buyer Millie Court from Essex in 2021, as well as Amber Davies, from Denbigh. who won Love Island 2017 with Kem Cetinay.

Other contestants from Wales have included Swansea paramedic Paige Thorne and Liam Llewellyn from Newport, who joined the 2022 series. While Paige just missed out in the final, Liam's journey was cut short when he decided to quit the villa after just one week.

Other prominent stars include Dr Alex George, who joined the 2018 series alongside fellow Welsh contestant Rosie Williams and Tom Powell, who was in the 2016 line-up.

But what happened to all the other Welsh Love Island contestants from previous years and what are they up to now? Here's everything you need to know.

Anna-May Robey - winter 2023

The payroll administrator from Swansea didn't last long in the villa and was second to be dumped from the 2023 series, which took place in South Africa, alongside Haris Namani.

Anna-May and Haris were dumped after the public were asked to vote for their favourite cast member. After the results were revealed, six contestants were left vulnerable including Tom Clare, Kai Fagan, Tanyel Raven and Tanya Mahenga. However, it was up to Australian bombshells and newcomers Jessie Wynter and Aaron Waters to make the decision, and they gave Anna-May and Haris the boot.

Since leaving the villa, Anna-May has returned to Swansea and keep her fans up to date with travels and fashion.

Paige Thorne - 2022

Paige's Love Island journey was somewhat mixed. She was originally paired with Luca Bish by the public, however, it became clear from the beginning the pair wouldn't become a romantic couple. Paige's luck changed, however, when rugby player Jacques O'Neill, the ex of Gemma Owen, entered the Mallorcan villa.

Paige and Jacques appeared to hit it off and were getting on well up until Casa Amor .After Jacques tested his feelings for Paige by getting close to new girl Cheyanne Kerr, things didn't recover between the two and Jacques ends up leaving the villa.

Paige later coupled up with bombshell Adam Collard with the pair just missing out on the final. However, it wasn't meant to be and the pair had a messy split outside the villa.

Paige returned to her NHS roots following her exit, doing bank shifts as a paramedic. She's also very active on social media and updates her followers with her active and healthy lifestyle.

Liam Llewellyn - 2022

The master's graduate from Newport, who is also the son of rugby star David 'Dai' Llewellyn, had a rocky start to his time in the villa and later quit the show. Liam had been in the villa less than a week when he summoned his fellow contestants to the fire pit and explained: "Obviously we all came here for the same sort of reason, but I haven't been giving 100 per cent Liam. I know what 100 per cent Liam is and I'm miles off that.

"Trying to find someone you leave the villa with that you love, that's the goal. But when you're not feeling that, it makes it a very hard sort of time to find that. I've been thinking long and hard, it isn't spur of the moment, so I've made a decision I'm going to leave the villa."

Since leaving the show, Liam has mostly stayed out of the public eye although he is active on social media and often posts paid adverts to his followers.

Liam Reardon - 2021

Merthyr-born Liam won the show in 2021 alongside Millie Court from Essex. They were the first pair of bombshells to ever win the show after they both joined the series as late arrivals.

Their initially sweet romance in the villa was not plain sailing, however. Many will remember when Liam kissed Lillie in Casa Amor, throwing his relationship with Millie into doubt.

Millie eventually gave Liam another chance and as the series came to a close, the two were crowned champions and ultimately decided to split the £50,000 prize. Millie was the lucky recipient of the envelope and chose to share 50% of the winnings with Liam.

The pair went on to move into their first home together in Essex but split after almost a year together. Liam went on to star in another reality television show, Celebs Go Dating, but admitted he missed Millie and the pair are rumoured to have rekindled their romance.

Connagh Howard - 2020

Connagh, from Cardiff, featured in the first-ever winter Love Island. Connagh joined the show as a late arrival alongside fellow bombshell Finley Tapp, who went on to win the show with Paige Turley.

Unfortunately, Connagh failed to find love and was the third contestant to leave the villa in a recoupling that saw Siannise Fudge choose Nas Majeed instead of him.

In 2021, viewers would have seen Connagh back on screens in the S4C programme Cymru, Dad a Fi (Wales, Dad and Me). It followed Connagh and his father Wayne on an unique island-hopping journey around Wales. The adventure saw them travel from Anglesey and the Llŷn Peninsula in the north, down to Pembrokeshire and the dramatic South Wales coast, before returning home to Cardiff.

And while the model may not have found romance on the show, since leaving the villa he's been loved up with his The Circle star girlfriend, Beth Dunlavey. The pair regularly share snaps together on Instagram and recently marked their two-year anniversary.

Callum MacLeod - 2019

Callum Macleod (ITV)

Aircraft engineer, Callum MacLeod from Bridgend, joined the original 2019 line-up. His journey was short-lived, however, as he was the first Islander to be dumped from the villa.

When he first entered the villa, Callum was paired up with Amber Gill, who later went on to win the show with Greg O'Shea.

Callum returned to his job as an aircraft engineer shortly after the show and despite not finding love on the programme - Callum now lives with his fiancé Jade Olivia in their Bridgend home.

Speaking to WalesOnline in January 2023. Callum said: "I never went on it to change my life or to get a career out of it. I was always going to go back to my work which I love to do... I live a normal life, I'm up for work every morning and go to the gym and enjoy my weekends with my partner but I like that side of things. I like normality and the simple life, and I was a little bit scared of going on the show because I didn't want to lose that." You can read more about what he's up to here.

Rosie Williams - 2018

Rosie Williams, from the Rhondda, joined the 2018 show as a bombshell on the third day. The solicitor coupled up with fellow islander Adam Collard, but their relationship quickly turned sour, with Adam choosing to recouple with new contestant Zara McDermott, leaving Rosie single.

Following her exit, Rosie, who chose to put her law career on hold in a bid to find love, partnered with brands such as Pretty Little Thing and launched her own clothing brand in 2020 called White Collar.

Dr Alex George - 2018

Alex, who grew up in Nantgaredig, was also on the 2018 series. The A&E doctor was dumped just one day before the final alongside Alexandra Cane. The pair didn't work out romantically but left the villa as friends.

Dr Alex George has been incredibly busy since leaving the show, in February 2021 the Prime Minister appointed the Welsh star as a youth mental health ambassador. Alex also returned to work as an A&E doctor and worked throughout the pandemic, although he recently announced he was stepping away as his "purpose has changed."

Alex also regularly appears on ITV's Lorraine, published a book called Live Well Every Day, and runs a podcast called The Waiting Room.

Amber Davies - 2017

Amber Davies won Love Island with Kem Cetinay in 2017, however, their relationship wasn't meant to be and the pair called it quits the following December, just months after leaving the villa.

Following her big win, Amber, who performed at Cirque Le Soir as a dancer before the show, quickly went back to her theatrical roots. The star, who hails from Denbigh, bagged a lead role in Dolly Parton's hit West End musical 9 to 5 and also starred alongside Olympian Louis Smith in Bring It On the Musical Tour.

In 2021, Amber landed her first TV role and joined CBBC's Almost Never for its third season. Amber took on the role of Jess in the popular musical comedy-drama.

Tom Powell - 2016

Tom, from Port Talbot, joined the 2016 Love Island line-up as an original Islander. He was coupled up with Sophie Gradon, who tragically died in June 2018.

The Welsh star is now an online health and fitness coach and owns Tom Powell Athletic which he describes as a "new way of personal training". For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
