Love Island is going green this year, with solar panels set up to reduce the villa's carbon footprint.
Ahead of the next series, work has started on the vast complex, which will home this summer's batch of glamourous singletons, with solar large panels nearby, to lower the production's impact on the environment, too.
The TV stars won't know about the latest addition to the complex however, as the panels are shielded from the villa, hidden by foliage in a neighbouring field, new photos show, as crews get to work transforming the house to ensure it's TV ready.
The ITV2 show concluded its winter edition last month, but it won't be long until it returns for its summer instalment which will be based in Palma Majorca.
Fans will be eagerly awaiting the return of the show, which is a favourite of the summer schedule each year.
It's been claimed that the show will be back on our screens from June 5 for eight weeks, though the dates have yet to be confirmed by ITV.
According to the Sun, the new series is just weeks away. A source further told the outlet that ITV have already lined-up the islanders who be taking part.
The source said: "[They] will fly out late next month ready for the show to begin in just eight weeks."
"It is hugely exciting and those working on the show cannot wait to get started."
It's been claimed that the series will run for eight weeks, meaning that those who reach the final could have been in the villa for two months.
The source added that host new host Maya Jama- who took over from Laura Whitmore,- is "chomping at the bit to get to work" on the new series.
A source however has told the Mirror that dates have not yet been confirmed for the new series. They told us this afternoon: "The dates have not been officially confirmed."
Maya had previously suggested that she would return to host the upcoming summer edition of Love Island, after fronting the winter series which aired earlier this year.
Maya had previously suggested that she would return to host the upcoming summer edition of Love Island, after fronting the winter series which aired earlier this year.
Sharing photos from the behind-the-scenes, the TV presenter wrote in a post just last month: "[I had the] best time ever [and I] can't wait to do it all over in the summer".
The latest winter series, in South Africa, was won by Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, both 24.
The Majorca villa was new last year, with more space and even more secret spots to get up to mischief.
“They looked at quite a few villas and this was by far the best,” Executive Producer Mike Spencer tells us.
“The view is beautiful, we want people to tune in and say this is Love Island but it’s had a glow up.
“It’s slightly bigger, it’s a similar pool size but the space around it is bigger.”
