Love Island viewers are already hard at work theorising future couples on the ITV2 dating show. The first episode of the new series aired on Monday.
Unlike previous years the summer 2023 launch episode saw the Islanders discover that the public had chosen who they’d be coupling up with. Over on social media some people were convinced that two members of this year’s line up will end up together after they both noticed they have matching tattoos.
TikTok star Molly Marsh, 21, and semi-professional footballer Tyrique Hyde, 24, discovered that they both share tattoos of lightning bolts on their left ear.

One person said of Molly and Tyrique’s tattoos: “Matching tattoos by accident, maybe it’s destiny.” A second commented: “Matching tattoos?? In the same place?? It’s giving soul mates I ship.”
A third wrote: “Matching tattoos see I’d take it as a sign and fall in love ngl.” And a fourth said: “Matching tattoos and same ear ewo that's crazy.”
Molly and Tyrique are currently partnered up with Mitchel Taylor and Ella Thoma, respectively. No sooner than they found out that they'd been coupled up Tyrique and Ella realised that they’d already met in the outside world.
“Do you remember me? We’ve met before,” Ella told Tyrique. After she told him that they’d met on a night out in London Tyrique replied: “We’ll talk in a bit”.
