Winter Love Island fans had their attention grabbed by beautiful ring girl and James Bond actress Olivia Hawkins as she strutted into the South African villa last night.
However, some couldn’t help but be distracted by her outfit “blunder” which left many perplexed and searching for answers.
The Michelle Keegan lookalike, 27, who has worked as a body double for the former Corrie actress and Hollywood star Emma Watson, ruffled feathers when we entered the villa and made a beeline for Manchester science and PE teacher Kai Fagan who was already coupled up with Anna-May Robey.
There was further drama when Tanyel Revan chose to couple up with Kai after he stepped forward for her, leaving Olivia single.
The telly star, who appeared as a waitress in the James Bond film No Time To Die, was left with farmer Will Young who was the only one of the boys not picked.
Despite the unfolding drama at the coupling, viewers of the hit ITV2 show were distracted by Olivia’s apparent outfit malfunction.
Fans took to Twitter to question whether her undone denim shorts were a fashion statement or a blunder.
One commented on Olivia’s look: "Olivia looks like she just finished Christmas dinner with her shorts like that."
Another said of the outfit worn by the former ring girl for boxer KSI: "It’s actually mad I’ve never seen anyone wear shorts on love island Lool."
"Button your shorts,” one commented while another simply questioned: "The shorts?????"
"Olivia seems to have forgotten how to button her shorts," a viewer quipped.
Another questioned: "Why's she got a pair of unbuttoned shorts on?"
Others were impressed by the reality telly star’s first look of the new season, with one tweeting: "Olivia is an icon I’m obsessed with THE JEAN SHORTS she’s an absolute GIRL BOSS,"
"Yesssss love the fact that she entered wearing shorts," another enthused.
"I already love Olivia's energy. The jeans short the ditzy energy. Calling herself a cougar I live,” a third wrote.
The outfit debate came as fans voiced how they reckoned they’d “rumbled” who was going to be involved in the first villa row as they predicted a clash between Olivia and Anna-May.
Some viewers believed they had noticed signs two of the girls weren't going to get along, and that it might already be awkward for them after the coupling drama.
Olivia was partnered with Will, but later in the episode, she confessed she only saw him as a friend and was keen on Haris.
While she did bring this up with Anna-May, she was also seen sharing her hopes with other Islanders - and fans believed things could get awkward.
