Irish fans of Love Island were left fuming on Tuesday night after the Virgin Media Player "collapsed under the weight" of a large number of viewers.
Many people who tuned in to watch the show from the online streaming service were left waiting for the page to load, missing the first couple of minutes of drama in the villa.
Fans of the popular reality show took to social media to vent their frustration at the technical glitch.
One person claimed it had ruined their day, writing: "Virgin media player not working meaning I AM MISSING LOVE ISLAND. day ruined. #LoveIsland".
Another said: "can virgin media player get its act together so i can watch #LoveIsland wtf".

While a fourth asked: "Is anyone else having problems with Virgin Media app or is it just me? Don't seem to be able to watch #LoveIsland".
The debut episode of the new Love Island series aired on Monday night with an average of 235,000 Irish viewers tuning in, a slightly bigger audience than last year.
It also held the biggest television audience of the night for younger viewers aged between 15 and 34.
Virgin Media Television wrote on Twitter: "Love Island launched last night on Virgin Media Two with an average of 235k viewers. +7% on last year's launch episode.
"Young audiences tuned in en-masse, making VM Two the number 1 channel in Ireland yesterday for 15-34s and 25-44s. #LoveIsland"
Love Island airs in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player every night at 9pm.
