Love Island viewers call for Casa Amor amid 'boring' 2022 series

Love Island viewers have taken to social media to call for the early return of Casa Amor after claiming to be "bored" with the current series. The 2022 season only started on Monday, June 6 but many fans have shared their disinterest on Twitter.

The new series has already seen the arrival of the first bombshell Davide Sanclimenti, with two more late arrivals preparing to head into the villa to stir things up. You can read more on Afia Tonkmor and Ekin-Su, here.

Love Island's most recent episode also saw the show's first fallout as Luca Bish called out Andrew Le Page for "snaking" him when it comes to model Tasha Ghouri. But despite the drama, Casa Amor was trending on Twitter during Wednesday night's episode.

Casa Amor usually happens four weeks into the series, it sees the original contestants split between two villas where they are joined by a new batch of singletons. It is often at the centre of the show's most dramatic scenes as couples are tested and new love is found.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, June 8, @MsTraciiee wrote: "Can't wait for Casa Amor this is boring #LoveIsland." While @Lolalistens added: "Can they just bring Casa Amor cus I’m so bored."

And @xlouisecx said: "Just reading tweets for a summary rather than watching these boring episodes #LoveIsland let's skip to Casa Amor."

Others were baffled that Casa Amor was trending just three days into the 2022 series. With @asharaaee asking: "It's day 3 and you guys are already talking about Casa Amor? #LoveIsland."

While @myBxch3s11 quizzed: "Why is Casa Amor trending already? We're only in the first week guys #LoveIsland."

"We're all so bored already that's why Casa Amor is trending," @asleepygirl responded.

Love Island continues at 9pm on weeknights on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories, get our newsletter here.
