Love Island stars Olivia Hawkins and Zara Lackenby-Brown have been at loggerheads since the latter's arrival in the South African villa.
Zara wasted no time in telling Olivia off after entering the villa last week as the property developer branded the aspiring actress "two-faced" during a game of beer pong. As the pair began feuding on-screen, social media sleuths uncovered the girls reported friendship from years ago.
Prior to appearing on Love Island together, Olivia and Zara frequently commented on one another's Instagram photos and appeared to be very friendly. Despite being at each other's throats constantly in the villa as they feud over footballer Tom Clare, the girl's relationship prior to the villa has been revealed.
Both Olivia - who has worked as Michelle Keegan's body double - and Zara starred in the music video for Dapz's single Take You Away in 2019. It seems likely the pair met during this shoot and struck up an online friendship afterwards, although it is not clear when or why the pair drifted apart.
After butting heads at the weekend over their mutual love interest Tom, the feud continued into Wednesday night's episode as Olivia set her sights firmly on Tom in the wake of Haris Namani's departure.
Zara accused her of focussing on Tom only because Haris was gone, while Olivia claimed she was scared to talk to Tom because Zara had 'claimed him'.
The pair are confirmed to know each other on the outside, as dumped Islander David Salako confirmed: "This is something that was discussed in the villa, they told everyone. I think Zara told everyone that she knew Liv, and Liv confirmed".
Love Island airs on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm.
