Love Island star says Casa Amor newbies 'tactically' chosen and Jacques could 'turn head'

Love Island’s Casa Amor returns to the 2022 series this weekend, after the new batch of girls and boys entering the ITV2 dating show teased on Friday night.

The mid-series Casa Amor twist is the ultimate test for couples, as the couples are split into two villas for a week of flirting as a recoupling looms.

Former Love Island star Georgia Steel has weighed in on this year’s drama and what it could mean for the islanders after she saw Casa Amor break down her relationship with Josh Denzel on the ITV2 show in 2018.

The 24-year-old explained how the Love Island producers chose the bombshells islanders to specifically tailor them to the existing contestants’ “types” in order to “really test relationships”.

Georgie detailed her own experience with former partner Josh, who returned from Casa Amor on the arm of new girl Kaz Crossley who he stayed with for the remainder of the show, although the pair later broke up.

Georgia explained she twigged that Josh may have had his head turned before he returned to the villa as she was last in the order for Caroline Flack to reveal if he had stayed loyal or not.

Speaking to The Sun she said: “I do feel like I had a few doubts in my mind when I was stood there.

“Jack had just come back for Dani, so I thought, Josh isn't going to come back to me because that's going to be too good to be true and there'll be no drama. So I was feeling something funny was going on.”

She continued: “I feel like the people sent into Casa Amor are sent in to really test you and your relationships.

“Producers must choose based on the girls' types, because they literally got my type down to an absolute tee, especially with this one boy Jordan [Adefeyisan].

“They definitely put boys in there that they know the girls would like. What's the point otherwise?”

Georgia said she thinks history could repeat itself with Jaques (ITV)

In terms of this year’s ITV2 contestants, Georgia said she thinks history could repeat itself with Jacques O'Neill, who she believes could be tempted to leave Paige Thorne.

“I really feel like Jacques could have his head turned but I really hope he doesn't, because I really love Paige and I feel like they would make a really lovely couple," she said.

"I can tell by the way he is, he's a little bit of a cheeky boy, so Casa Amor is going to be the ultimate test for them."
