Love Island star Paige Turley has 'beauty disaster' ahead of glam Edinburgh awards

West Lothian beauty Paige Turley has been having a little moan on social media, after she caught one too many rays during the Scottish heatwave - leaving her sunburnt ahead of a prestigious event.

Love Island winner Paige will be in attendance at tonight's Daily Record Pride of Scotland awards, alongside boyfriend Finley Tapp, as well as other stars like Lewis Hamilton, fellow Love Islander Laura Anderson and the Duchess of Cambridge.

The awards, held to honour Scotland's unsung heroes, will be broadcast on STV in July, but take place on Tuesday June 21 at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.

And Paige is panicking just hours prior to the event, as she searches for sunburn remedies over on her social media.

Writing on her Instagram story, the influencer said: "Catch me red faced hosting the red carpet chats for @prideofscotland over on their Facebook page with Finn from 5.30pm.

"Ok, is this some kind of sick joke, one night before an event and I'm rocking a t-shirt tan...it's only going to get more red!"

Paige also hilariously added 'T-Shirt Weather' by UK indie artists Circa Waves to add to the embarrassment, as she prepares to look permanently embarrassed for the prestigious awards.

She continued onto the next post, writing: "Good luck to @morganbow_makeupbar & @alteregohairart who will have to work their magic so that I don't look like a little red little rat.

"Is it just me or is it hot in here?"

The winner of Love Island's first ever Winter Edition will be joined by her TV beau and boyfriend Finn Tapp to interview various stars and award winners on the night.

Other famous figures include actors Eddie Redmayne, Sam Heughan, TV and radio personalities Gordon Ramsey, Lorraine Kelly, and comedians Ricky Gervais and Kieron Achara.

The Daily Record Pride of Scotland Awards with TSB, will be broadcast on STV in July.
