Paige Thorne's family have issued a defiant plea to Love Island viewers to 'be kind' to her as well, after the Welsh paramedic came in for some harsh criticism in the wake of Jacques O'Neill's exit.
In emotional scenes that played out near the end of Tuesday's episode of the ITV series, Gemma Owen's ex Jacques told Paige he had decided to quit Love Island in order to 'a better person for her,' in the hope that they could have a future together outside of the villa. She was moved to tears by Jacques' announcement and was left emotional by his departure.
However, as plenty of viewers asked Twitter users to be mindful of Jacques' mental health, as he was the target of online abuse, others took aim at Paige, who has been the target of a Love Island 'exit' hoax, questioning why if she liked Jacques' so much she didn't go with him, specially after they saw her getting flirty with bombshell Adam Collard just 24 hours later.
