Gemma Owen has gone from being a favourite to win Love Island, to seeing her odds drop as viewers are torn on their opinion of her and some fans raise concerns about the 19-year-old even being on the show.
While she has yet to reveal who her dad is to her fellow Islanders, although it looked like Liam Llewellyn definitely had his suspicions after asking Gemma her second name, the fact that the teenager is the daughter of Michael Owen caused a real stir when the Love Island contestants were announced last week and continues to do so.
Gemma's age has also had a lot of people talking, with some Love Island viewers in shock that she's only 19, while others have said, given the fact, she only turned 19 in May, she is too young to be on the show. Their concerns were then escalated after newcomer Davide, 27, chose Gemma to couple up with, after she showed a clear interest in the Italian late arrival.
