Francesca Allen has revealed her beloved father has sadly passed away.
The former Love Island star took to Instagram to tell fans she was taking a break from social media following her family’s loss.
Posting a photo of a bouquet of spring coloured flowers, the 27-year-old reality star shared the sad news with her 457,000 followers.
She wrote: “Taking some time off socials as I lost my dad last week. Just having time to process for those who noticed I’ve been inactive.
“I will be back doing my thing and connecting with you all soon. Thank you for the patience.”
Francesca went on to share a montage of photographs of her late father in her Instagram Stories.
Posting a snap of him looking dapper wearing a trilby hat and posing with a cigar in his mouth, she said he was the ‘life and soul of every party’.
‘And always the best dressed,’ Francesca added in another snap of similarly dapper photo of her late father, followed by a love heart emoji.
The fashion influencer, who co-owns Essex boutique Bonnie and Clyde with her sister, appeared on series five of Love Island back in 2019.
Other big names to appear on that series included Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, Maura Higgins and Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, who won the show that year.
Since the show, Francesca has gone on to get engaged to businessman Ed Crossan after he popped the question over Christmas 2021.
The couple are still going strong and were recently pictured enjoying a date night out together, but have yet to set a date for their big day.
Announcing the happy news at the time, Francesca excitedly told fans: “The best Christmas present a girl could ask for. I’m marrying my best friend!!! I still can’t believe it.”
The star was over the moon as her boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed to her on a beautiful staircase.
Another photo had Francesca proudly showing off the diamond ring as she sat on her fiancé's lap.
Before finding love with Ed, the ITV2 star was briefly linked to Curtis Pritchard and Michael Griffiths.
She was already living the high life before going on Love Island, with trips to designer stores and mingling with famous pals.
Her boutique is popular with the cast of TOWIE and gets regular visits from all her celebrity mates.
She's good pals with many stars of the show, including ex cast-members Sam and Billie Faiers, Ferne McCann, Georgia Kousoulou, Chloe Ross and Chloe Lewis.
Love Island's Jack Fowler was her personal trainer and she appears to count former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson among her mates.
