A troll who sent 'horrendous' messages to Love Island 's Faye Winter got more than he bargained for when the reality star took revenge by sending screenshots of his abuse to his mother, employer and sports club.
The troll's mother ended up blocking Faye on Instagram after receiving the screengrabs - to which Faye snapped back: "You embarrassed by your son, hon?"
The star of the ITV series did not reveal the content of the messages, but said that that the troll had written "some awful things".
And in a video posted to her 1.2 million followers, she said: "Today I got trolled horrendously by someone I don't know, which is great...said some awful things...so what do I do?
"I go on your page, I find your mum, I screenshot your messages and I send it to her, so she should be really proud of the boy...little, little boy, that she brought up. Do you know what else I've done? I've also sent it to your rugby club, and I've also sent it to your employer. Dont f**k with me."
After being blocked by the troll's mother, Faye replied: "Oh no, not me being blocked by your mum...sorry, you embarrassed by your son, hon? Don't worry, his employer's got it. And as well as that, hope he gets sent to bed with no tea tonight."
Faye shared an update on Sunday, saying: "He unsent the messages and I got blocked...Miss you boo, xox. I'll see you in hell and we can have this discussion together there."
On a more serious note, she added: "I do feel like it's an important thing to talk about because luckily that message went to me and I'm okay. However, if it went to somebody else, that wasn't mentally in the right place, you just don't know how your words can affect someone."
Faye had previously quit Instagram for a short period following racist abuse aimed at her and boyfriend Teddy Soares, 26. The pair finished second on last year's series of the ITV dating show and moved in together after three months of dating.
Teddy told Vicky Pattison's The Secret To podcast: "She [Faye] gets quite a lot of racism thrown at her for being with me. You delete it, but you've got so much coming your way and I think any kind of hate, any kind of jealousy, any kind of toxicity in the world is just nasty."
