Love Island star breaks silence on 11,000 Ofcom complaints over ‘alleged bullying’ scenes

A Love Island star has spoken out for the first time on alleged bullying scenes which prompted more than 11,000 Ofcom complaints.

On Tuesday (3 February), Lucinda Strafford appeared on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast to discuss her turbulent All Stars experience.

During an episode of the show, the 26-year-old (who appeared on the 2021 series) ran away from the camera in tears following an argument with the other girls.

Whilst Strafford denied on the show that she felt like she was being bullied, she broached the topic again with Brunson after leaving the villa.

A Love Island spokesperson told The Independent: "The emotional wellbeing of all islanders is paramount. Dedicated welfare producers monitor and speak with them all privately one-to-one, and psychological support is available 24/7. Islanders are therefore fully supported by both on-site professionals and their friends in the villa."
