Love Island bombshell Adam Collard has finally addressed the real reason he returned to the villa, four years after first appearing on the show.
The 26-year-old surprised fans when he arrived as a bombshell in the latest series, as he became the first Love Island contestant to make a reappearance.
The Islander, who caused much controversy for his treatment of women when he starred on the show in 2018, went on to build a romance with Paige Thorne and the pair came fifth.
While Adam and Paige, 24, have remained a besotted couple outside the villa, the personal trainer has admitted that he didn’t initially go back on Love Island in search of love, but for financial gain.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Adam said: “I am just going to clear this up right now. Paige is amazing and we are flying right now but everyone who goes on Love Island – it’s series eight now – people know what is coming off the back of it.
"You are getting a few followers, if you have a business like me it’s going to help amplify that and that put you in a better situation and there’s going to be loads of really good opportunities afterwards."
Adam continued: "So yes, everyone comes on and says I am here to find love and that, yes you kind of are and obviously that is unreal but nobody is daft.
"Everyone has seen Molly-Mae absolutely smash the hell out of life and to be fair she has smashed the hell out of her relationship as well but even if you can get a little piece of that, if you have been in the villa for long enough, you know you are going to be pretty set up for life."
Viewers predicted that Adam would bring chaos to the villa this year, following his past reputation which saw his behaviour on the show prompt a response from Women’s Aid.
However, the fitness fanatic appeared to have changed his ways on his return visit, as he showed his more vulnerable side with beau Paige. Since the villa, the pair have become official.
