ITV have shared the voting figures for the 2022 final which saw Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti crowned this year’s winners.
Ekin-Su and Davide won by a landslide after securing 63.7 per cent of the public vote, during voting across Sunday and Monday.
Runners-up Gemma Owen and Luca Bish scored 14.5 per cent, while third placed Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope claimed 11.8 per cent.
Meanwhile, Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page were fourth with 10.1 per cent.
ITV also said Monday’s episode secured the highest ratings for a final since 201 - 3.4 million viewers watched the Love Island final across ITV2 and ITV Hub
The figure was 100,000 more than last year’s final.
With catch-up data and ITV Hub audiences across devices included, the consolidated series average currently stands at 4.6 million across devices, making it the second highest rating series of Love Island to-date.
For fans now left with a Love Island-shaped hole in their lives, ITV have announced that there will be two series of the show coming in 2023 – a winter series in South Africa and a summer series in Mallorca.
There is also talk of spin-off series for middle-aged contestants in their 40s and 50s.
The new reality series is said to have the working title ‘Your Mum, My Dad’ and will feature contestants’ children trying to help their parents find romance.
Reports of the mature romance show come after a number of Love Island fans called for the show to offer an older cast.
According to The Sun, the show will be set in a retreat and filming is meant to start later this year.
