Tom Clare's mum has been watching his Love Island journey with pride - apart from one raunchy night in the Hideaway, which caused her to switch off.
The Macclesfield FC footballer is happily coupled up with Samie Elishi, 22, and they are one of five couples trying to stick it out and win tomorrow night's grand final - and £50,000 prize money.
His mum, Maxine, threw her support behind her footie player son as she told ITV : "We’ve loved watching him and not missed a night - all of us couldn’t wait for 9pm!
"Samie seems like a lovely girl and we are all looking forward to meeting her and getting to know her more. I just hope that she likes football!"
However she did admit that there was on bit of the programme he had to turn off, as she revealed: "When he was in the hideout with handcuffs on..!"
She is excited to have him home, though as she added "As long as he is happy we are happy. I can’t wait for him to come home and hear his laughter. We will all be happy whatever the outcome in the final. He’s done amazing and we’ve loved every minute."
Another person who will be eager to see him is ex-Islander Casey O'Gorman. He, along with bombshell Rosie Seabrook, 24, were dumped from the contest last week - and as per the rules - given back their phones.
Casey took to Instagram to thank fans for their support, posting a photo of himself with Tom, his on-screen BFF, at the villa's talent show.
Tonight there will be more parental verdicts on the cast when family members turn up at the Villa, a first for the winter series of the show.
Love Island favourite Ron Hall may go from chilled to grilled tomorrow night when his girlfriend’s mum arrives.
Laid-back Ron, 25, will be quizzed about his rollercoaster relationship with make-up artist Lana Jenkins.
It comes in a first for the reality show as contestants’ family members, including Lana’s mum Rachel, head to the South African villa.
And Rachel, 50, a script supervisor on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, will use the chance to put the frighteners on Ron.
She said: “I’m going to tell him to look after my daughter. Every mum wants their daughter to be treated like a princess. If Ron adores her like her family does, then that’s good for me.”
Financial adviser Ron, from Essex, and Lana, 25, have gone from strength to strength and have a solid relationship, despite a rocky start.
