Love Island’s Teddy admits it’s ‘nerve wracking’ without ‘the Mrs’ after Faye Winter split
This time last year, Teddy Soares was loved-up with his Love Island beau Faye Winter - enjoying attending showbiz events like the Pride of Manchester awards together.
But on Wednesday night, newly-single Teddy stepped out on his own at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester, just weeks on from officially ending his romance with Faye.
Reflecting on attending the event without his ex by his side, the reality TV star exclusively told the Mirror: “Oh my God, it’s nerve-wracking [doing interviews on your own]. It’s different doing this on your own. We can support each other, me and the Mrs, so yeah…
“It's all about the Pride of Manchester Awards though. I haven’t been in Manchester for this type of occasion for a long time, so being here for this event makes it all okay.”
He wisely added: “It makes you realise and puts life into perspective. How can you be upset?”
Looking at the showbiz couples flooding onto the red carpet, Teddy then joked: “I see relationships everywhere right now and I’m thinking, my winter sucks!
So is a ‘Hot Boy Summer’ on the cards?
“I’ve never done a Hot Boy Summer,” Teddy laughed, “I’ve never done an Ibiza holiday or any of that type of thing.”
While Teddy may be adjusting to big changes in his personal life, the Manchester-born star’s career is still soaring.
“I have a plan - some exciting things going on,” he revealed when discussing life post-Love Island.
“Towards the end of the year, some big things are happening. I’ve been doing something over the last few days that have pretty much broken my back but I can’t say what just yet.”
He continued: “A lot of good things are happening that make me more energised again. My energy towards the start of the year was quite low…”
“It’s hard to get out of the house when it’s raining. I went to Dubai and was seriously thinking: ‘Should I just move out here?’
But home is where the heart is for Teddy, with the 28-year-old admitting he loves English weather and culture too much to ever leave.
Faye and Teddy who met in 2021 called it quits after they realised they were in "different places" and wanted different things from a relationship.
Earlier this month, he spoke of being single, saying: "He said: “I have a voice again. I feel like I’m coming out of my shell again and going to events and going out more, which is really nice.”
