Model and dancer Tasha Ghouri has broken her silence on the treatment she received in the Love Island villa that left her in tears and sparked thousands of Ofcom complaints.
Tasha, 23, made it all the way to the final of the 2022 competition alongside Andrew Le Page, 27.
However, she revealed her time in the villa was far from easy and claimed she found herself being over-analysed and targeted by some of the boys, reports the Mirror. At one point when they played Snog, Marry, Pie, Tasha says she was targeted by three male contestants who slapped pies in her face and subjected her to unkind comments.
As a result of the incident, some viewers of the ITV show complained to Ofcom while others discussed if the show was promoting misogyny. In an interview with Fabulous magazine, Tasha said: "I knew I was gonna get pies. I was ready for it, but it was more about the comments after that.

"There’s a level of banter and there's (that). I was standing there thinking: 'Keep your head held high and don't show a reaction'. There's a clip and you can still see it in my face (how upset I was).
"It was a lot - I felt backed into a corner. It's such an intense environment and hard to escape. You're stuck in there together. I was ready to walk out."
Viewers of the show complained that Luca Bish and Dami Hope in particular targeted Tasha too often - accusing her of being a 'game player'. Other contestants defended her after they left the show - with Billy Brown and Josh Le Grove saying they thought contestants went too far.
In the interview, Tasha added: "A part of me wishes I had put my foot down a bit more. I'm quite an emotional person and I probably did cry a lot. That’s how I've always been. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I did get a lot of hate for that."
Speaking of other matters, Tasha confirmed that her romance with Andrew is going strong and the couple are house hunting for a love nest in London. They have been spending time in Tasha’s home together in the capital but hope to find a space for them both to live in together.
Tasha last week explained during a Q&A session with fans via Instagram : "We are looking for a place to live, we haven't found one yet, but we have found quite a few that we like and we're going to go and see them."
