Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri made their love permanent on the weekend by getting matching rose tattoos, with the Love Island couple now revealing the idea behind the sweet gesture.
The pair visited The London Social Tattoo studio on Sunday and left with a tribute to their relationship. Tasha, 24, had a fine line drawing of a rose on her neck, while 27-year-old Andrew had one tattooed on his hand.
The couple shared pictures of their new body art on Instagram. Tasha tagged the studio and said: "Thank you so much for my tattoo, I’m in love with it."
Andrew wrote: "For everyone wondering what we did today."
The couple have now revealed the emotional reason behind the tattoos, with Andrew saying "it means a lot to both of us."
The pair took to Tasha's YouTube channel on Tuesday to answer some questions from fans. One person asked: "What inspired you to get matching tattoos?"
Andrew replied: "When we were in the villa we were talking about what we’d want not our final date, but what we’d like a date in.
"Tasha actually said, ‘I would love a hotel room where you come in and there’s loads and loads of roses,’ and this was before our date."
"Obviously our date happened and we had literally thousands of roses and it was kind of like a sign, we were literally talking about this, he added.
Tasha and Andrew enjoyed a very romantic last date on Love Island as they were greeted by a large 3D heart made up of roses.
Andrew said the symbol also "became a thing" after he recently bought Tasha 100 roses for her birthday.
Tasha added: "I think the rose is just the staple of our relationship. I think every relationship has something that’s meaningful to them and I think that’s what the rose is for me and you."
Andrew said he already has a few tattoos, but this one means the most to him.
Their latest profession of love comes after Andrew revealed he had originally planned to propose in four years' time but he thinks it will be much sooner after Tasha made a U-turn about having kids.
He told OK!: "At the start of the process, Tasha told me she didn’t want kids. I said, 'That’s cool, it’s not a deal breaker for me,' and then five days before the baby challenge, she sat me down and said, 'I can actually see myself having kids with you one day.'
"I was very surprised as it was such a change, but I was obviously very happy. I couldn’t stop smiling."
