Love Island star Sammy Root certainly had viewers talking after his arrival in the villa this week.
Sammy was the latest bombshell to cause chaos, as his arrival meant one boy would be going home after the recoupling.
The new Islander was straight in with the action as he invited three girls on a date, before pairing up with Jess after she chose him.
It seems he has his eye on someone else though, as he pulls Molly for a chat during Sunday's visit to the villa.
Amid her romance with Mitchel, she tells Sammy she is not closed off just yet revealing he might have a chance with her.
But it's not Sammy's antics or who he wants to be paired up with that has got viewers talking.
As Sammy entered the villa, he introduced himself to viewers and revealed he was 22 years of age.
Viewers were left stunned by this confession, and believed he was much older than he had claimed.
As some fans joked he was lying about his age, others were convinced the given age had to be wrong as he "looks older".
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their thoughts on the surprising admission as many said how old they believed he was, in comparison to his claims.
One viewer said: "This Sammy guy is not 22 maybe 32," as a second fan said: "Sammy does not look 22 one bit."
Another fan commented: "Sammy is 22?! LOOOOOOL," as a fourth fan wrote: "SAMMY IS 22?? MY GUY LOOKING 30."
A fifth viewer agreed: "Sammy looks older than me he doesn’t look 22," as a sixth fan said: "Sammy is NOT 22 he looks at least 26."
It comes as the show dumped its first contestant in the summer 2023 series, following the recoupling.
George Fensom was sent home after the arrival of bombshell Sammy, as the girls had to pick which boy to couple up with.
Ella chose Tyrique whilst Ruchee coupled up with Andre. Catherine decided to pick Zach, and Molly left everyone guessing before picking Mitchel. Jess chose new boy Sammy, whilst Whitney chose Medhi.
Speaking after his exit, George said: "I’ve had an absolute blast, dropping loose game and making everyone laugh. The experiences I’ve had, the people I’ve met and the lifelong friendships that I’ve formed have made my Villa experience very worthwhile. I wish everyone in there the best Villa experience and I can’t wait to see them all on the outside."
George has since suggested why he thinks he was given the boot by the girls.
George said he went on the show to find his future wife, but he seemed upbeat about why he was chosen to hop it when he returned to social media.
Filming himself, wearing a pair of designer shades, he said: "Left the villa too soon, but do you know what I was obviously too leng.
"But yeah obviously appreciate all the support, thank you for all the messages and yeah, just give me a couple of days just to sort my bits out and I will get replying and we will talk about plans moving forward. Bosh."
