Love Island star Paige Thorne has visited her old work colleagues with hopes of rejoining her job following her appearance on the ITV2 dating show.

The Welsh 24-year-old finished in fifth place in this year’s series alongside Adam Collard, 28, who returned as a bombshell in the villa.

Thorne posted a video clip to her Instagram on Monday, where she could be seen smiling with former work colleagues in the office, dressed in their paramedic uniforms.

The visit comes just two weeks after Love Island came to an end.

Thorne previously shared her plans with Lorraine: “I’ve got a meeting to go back to paramedic work as well, so that will be exciting. I actually saw an ambulance the other day with sirens on.

“I had like serious FOMO! I was like, “Get me my ambulance back!” So I’m going to go back into that a little bit and just see what opportunities come from that.”

She added: “It’s one of those things - I genuinely just love my job. So why wouldn’t I want to go back to it? I really enjoyed it. But I’ll do other things alongside it.”

The reality star later snapped herself at Bristol Airport, cutting the visit to her old job short for the time being.

On the daytime show, Collard appeared alongside Thorne as the pair confirmed they are boyfriend and girlfriend but are “playing it cool” by waiting to drop the ‘I love you's’.

The couple also addressed the split rumours after the show ended, with Collard saying: “What it was is we’re really big on family. It’s one of the things that I like so much about her, but [turning to Paige] you wanted to go to Swansea and keep her mum happy.

“Obviously that was my job as well, and then I wanted to go home as well. And that was it. I think it was just because we’re the only Islanders that did that and we didn’t stay in London. So now we’re good. We always knew we were.”

Thorne added: “My mum would have been so upset if I didn’t go home and Adam would have been even more in the dog house.

“She absolutely loves him now. It took all of two minutes when he came to Swansea and she was just obsessed as were the rest of the family.”
