Love Island's Paige and Dami's true feelings for each other 'rumbled' by viewers after dumping

Love Island viewers are convinced they have exposed a shock new romance in the villa, between Paige Thorne and Dami Hope.

Both Welsh paramedic Paige and Irish guy Dami have had a rather turbulent week on the ITV show thanks to Casa Amor, with Paige finding out from new girl Cheyanne that she'd got close to Jacques in the infamous second villa, while Dami coupled up with bombshell Summer as love interest Indiyah walked back into the main villa hand in hand with new boy Deji.

At the start of Monday's episode Dami very nearly went home as he and Summer found themselves at the mercy of their fellow Islanders after landing in the bottom two alongside Jay and Chyna after the latest public vote. It was the job of Gemma Owen to announce that the safe couples had opted to keep Dami and Summer in the villa and while Indiyah reacted with a subtle smile it was Paige whose relief was most obvious.

She quickly jumped to hug Dami, with the move not going unnoticed by eagle-eyed Love Island fans at home. While Paige and Dami have been close since day one of the new series, many viewers flooded Twitter with theories their feelings are stronger than friendship. After watching the hug, one posted: "I sense something between Dami and Paige," with a second tweeting: "dami and paige just get together already."

Thinking exactly the same thing, another reacted: "Paige is keeping Dami in so she can explore her connection with him," with a fourth asking: "How is indiyah okay with the way paige and dami behave."

Others said they were pleased that Paige and Dami's friendship survived another day and, as the episode went on Jacques and Paige grew close again after he opened up on his feelings for her, while Dami and Indiyah kissed and she confessed to the girls she really liked him.
