Love Island viewers claimed to have 'rumbled' Olivia Hawkins and Zara Lackenby-Brown over a 'past' they have outside of the show, as a row erupted between them on screen on Monday night.
Ring girl Olivia went into the villa on day one of Love Island's second run in South Africa, with her being at the centre of some early drama when she was 'stolen' by 2023's first bombshell, footballer Tom. He was swiftly followed into the villa by two more first week new arrivals, Zara and fellow Londoner David.
While David was sent packing in the first recoupling, Zara made her play for Tom and picked him, leaving Olivia noticeably crestfallen, as why, she seemed happy with her choice, Haris, she has admitted she still sees something there with Tom.

The first sign of any tension between Olivia and Zara came after Zara singled her love rival out as 'the most two faced' person in the villa, before, getting her own back, Olivia named Zara as the person she believed wasn't actually in the villa for love, causing the two to get into a heated war of words when Olivia tried to grab Tom for a chat.
After telling Zara it was a 'private' matter, Zara fired back: “Things come out eventually Liv, it’s fine” to which Olivia responded: ‘"It’s not about you it’s about me and him..
Not backing down, Zara retorted I’m in a couple with him so it does kind of concern me.," adding: "I’m here to find someone and I see a future with him.”
While the two appeared to call a truce later in the episode, viewers are now adamant there was 'beef' between them before they both went on the show.
And others claim to have found proof online that they definitely knew each other. An Instagram post made by Olivia in 2020 features a comment left by Olivia in May which reads: "Fave photo of you," with Zara later reacting to another photo, writing: "Absolutely unreal babes," after Olivia had left flame emojis on some of her pictures.
Calling for evidence, one Twitter user posted: "Sorry we NEED to know how Olivia and Zara knew each other before being in the villa because this beef is not making any sense," to which another reviewer replied: "I swear on or the other has either stole, kissed or sha**ed the others man in the past... this beef goes deep."
A third tweeted: "why are Zara and Olivia acting like they don’t know each other tho ??" with another going further and speculating: "I have a theory, since Zara and Olivia have the same management and know each other for yrs, this saga was created intentionally"
