Love Island's latest bombshell could be a familiar face to fans already as she's the ex of former star Jack Fowler. Singer-songwriter Antigoni Buxton turned heads as she made her on-screen debut in the villa last night, but she's no stranger to the limelight.
She boasts a lavish party girl lifestyle in London, according to the Mirror, has got a host of celebrity pals as well as her famous former flame, and her celebrity chef mum is also in the public eye.
When asked why she chose to head on the ITV2 reality dating show, Antigoni said: "I’ve been single for almost a year and a half and for the whole of the last year my goal has been to have as many different experiences as possible. "I really just want to say ‘yes’ to things. Why not? It’ll be fun. I’m a Cypriot girl and I love being in the sun. I’ve got nothing to lose!"
Here's everything you need to know about the Love Island's latest hopeful singleton.
Former islander is her ex
Antigoni, 26, already knew all about coupling up with an islander as that's exactly what she did with 2018 contestant Jack Fowler.
It's been reported that Jack and Antigoni hooked up for a few months but things fizzled out before they got serious. She still follows Jack on Instagram but he doesn't currently return the favour on the social network site.
Prior to her brief romance with the reality TV star turned musician, Antigoni was in a nine-year relationship with her childhood sweetheart before going their separate ways so she could focus on her budding music career.
"I’ve only ever been in love once - I don’t think I’ve been in love since. I think I fall in lust and infatuation quickly," the star confessed when discussing her past romances before going on the show.
Famous friends
Antigoni doesn't need to do her time on Love Island to get that much-coveted blue tick and influence lifestyle - she's already being enjoying that life before even entering the villa! The star, who has Greek-Cypriot roots, is a budding musician and was signed to Island Records at the age of 20 by the same scout who snapped up Amy Winehouse.
She went on to leave the label start her own independent firm, Sirena Records, and has released numerous singles - with celebrity pals appearing at her launch parties. Celebrating her tune Red Flag hitting the airwaves earlier this year, Antigoni partied the night away and cosied up to none other than two-time former unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
At the swanky bash - where Antigoni wore a daring red cut-out dress - music artists such as Manny Norté and Chuckie also made an appearance. Antigoni has already said she's a loyal pal so we could be seeing some firm friendships made over the firepit, as well as romances.
"They would describe me as energetic, the organiser and planner," she said about her friends before entering the villa. "I’m the one who books all the family holidays and the girls trips. They would say I’m a bit of a party animal and I think they would say I’m a fierce friend - I’m very loyal and protective over the people in my life."
TV star mum
Antigoni has a famous parent just like Gemma Owen. Celebrity chef Tonia Buxton presents My Greek Kitchen and My Cypriot Kitchen on the Discovery Channel, and also regularly appears on Channel 4's show Sunday Brunch.
Tonia paid tribute to Antigoni and her model sister Sophia with a sweet post to mark this year's International Women's Day. "I have met, especially in the past 2 years some amazing, brilliant women. The two women I am most proud of and cherish most are my two daughters @antigoni @sophiabuxtonn," the cooking sensation proudly wrote.
"They have all the attributes I respect, kindness, intelligence, integrity & loyalty. Happy IWD to you all!"
