Love Island fans who had hoped Molly Marsh would make a surprise return to the villa were sadly mistaken as she appeared on Aftersun to break her silence following the savage dumping.
Those who tuned into the ITV reality show were left speechless last week when the 22-year-old was brutally dumped following the return of original contestant Kady McDermott who chose to steal Molly's partner Zach, 25, sending her packing.
And although some fans hoped she was hiding away in a secret second villa, Molly appeared on Love Island's Aftersun in a very uncomfortable interview including panellists Made in Chelsea's Sam Thompson and former Love Island star Indyiah Polack.
Molly was quizzed on the shock dumping by host Maya Jama and was the hot topic of conversation among the panellists who awkwardly discussed Zach's behaviours in front of her, admitting they thought he would move on to find love elsewhere.
It comes despite Molly saying she would be waiting on the outside for Zach, after falling head over heels in a whirlwind romance when she left her original couple with gas engineer Mitchel.
Fans took to social media following the awkward encounter, as cameras panned across to Molly looking uncomfortable as they snapped her reaction to all the discussions.
One fan said: "These lot talking about Zach being open whilst molly is sat right there is so jokes #LoveIsland."
Another tweeted: "This aftersun. They are saying all these in front of molly lmaooo #LoveIsland," whilst a third wrote: "Being a bit brutal in front of Molly #LoveIsland #loveislandaftersun."
A fourth commented: "Making Molly sit there in front of everyone on aftersun while they discuss Zach is actually savage #LoveIsland."
A fifth wrote: "Molly is actually standing right there and these people are talking like she’s not in the room Must be awkward for her #LoveIsland."
Discussing her time in the villa, Molly said although she didn't expect Kady to choose Zach that she would have done the same thing even though it made her "heart drop" when his name was read out.
Molly said: "I knew it was clearly my time to go and if something good will come from me and Zach then it still will. If he finds something with Kady then that’s that."
Following the shocking news that she would be leaving the reality show, Molly added that part of her hoped Zach left with her although she supported the fact he's on his own Love Island journey.
She added: "I would have loved him to have come back with me and come home. But I understand he needs to stay and see what’s right and hopefully we carry on at home when he does leave."
Although things don't look hopeful, as Zach's fellow islanders have already pointed out that he seemed "back to himself" just a day after Molly's departure as he chatted with Kady and explained he was glad yet surprised she chose him to couple with.
Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX each weeknight and Sundays at 9pm.
