Love Island star Max Morley has revealed his baby son has finally been allowed home almost four months after he was born.
The 29-year-old reality star – who won Love Island back in 2015 alongside fellow series one star and now ex-girlfriend Jessica Hayes, 28 – became a first time dad back in November last year.
But his baby boy, named Brooklyn and who he shares with a mystery girlfriend, was born eight weeks premature and has needed medical help in the months since.
But a couple of weeks ago, he announced that his son was finally out of hospital and going home – months after his arrival.
Sharing a snap of himself posing with his baby boy on February 19, Max wrote: “After 109 days nearly four months he’s coming home.
"it’s been such a tough time so proud of him and mum can’t believe how strong they’ve both been! Excited to spend time with my son at home. What a man Brooklyn B Morley."
The reality star – who is also a former professional cricket player – has been keeping himself out of the public eye in the years since he won Love Island.
And indeed he surprised many fans last November when he made the shock announcement that he was a first time father – which was reported by Yorkshire Live.
He wrote on social media back on 2 November last year: "I kept this blessing private from social media to give myself time and get in a strong place. Today my life changed forever and I couldn’t be happier.
"After a few complications Little man gave me and mum a shock arriving 8 weeks early they are both super strong and are doing AMAZINGLY well!
“It’s been a crazy year and even crazier few days although things haven’t been perfect. It’s coming together nicely
With him been so premature he will have to spend a few weeks in hospital before coming home. I love you so much.”
He has thus far kept the identity of Brooklyn’s mother a secret – while his debut social media post about his son included an adorable video of himself stroking the tiny baby’s face.
Following the original announcement, many fans and followers offered support and words of encouragement after Brooklyn was born early.
One follower wrote: “I was born 8 weeks early and every time my grandma sees me (God bless her soul) she blurts out ‘God is so good’ cos she couldn’t believe how tall I turned out.
“No one ever believes I was born prematurely lol. Well I’m 30 years old now and have a son of my own and never one complication all my life!! Happy for you. He’s a cutie.”
While another wrote: “I am a premature baby too 7weeks... i got to one if the best school in the world and played competitively tennis ... he will fine :))) wish you good luck. dont panic.”
