Love Island star Mary Bedford has been left "shaken" after she was robbed when she was travelling in an Uber.
Mary, 22, has told of how she was "shocked" when thousands of pounds worth of handbags, shoes and sunglasses were stolen from the Mercedes she was travelling in.
The gorgeous blonde, who has recently been linked to Scott Thomas, said she had been waiting for around 10 minutes with her belongings before her luggage was later placed in the boot of the car.
Seconds after getting into the car, the former Islander said her luggage was suddenly stolen. She alleged that the boot hadn't been secured.
“I was stood waiting for an Uber for 10 minutes and then it came," she said posting on her Instagram stories.
“Anyway, my Uber came, we put both suitcases in the boot and I kept my duffel bag. I got in the car.
"Literally the Uber set off, but on a Mercedes the car doesn’t lock and someone came and grabbed my bag out of the boot.”
Mary later explained that her Uber driver then vacated the car and realised the luggage was missing.
It's said there was a mixture of bags, shoes and sunglasses within the luggage.
The TV star quickly called the police to report the incident, and an officer is said to have asked her how long she had been hanging around waiting for the Uber to collect her.
Mary continued: "I said 10 minutes and she said they would have been watching me, waiting for you to get in.”
She added: “They have taken so much but it could have been much worse. I was shocked at first.
"I rang my mum because I was so shaken. It’s just scary.
"I am just glad I am safe. It's actually just crazy. I am in shock. I can't believe it."
The model, from Wakefield, appeared on series 7 of the hit reality TV show and previously dated Love Island's Chris Hughes.
She has modelled for major brands such as ASOS, Boo Hoo and JD Women.
