Love Island's Malin Andersson's baby born through same C-section scar as late daughter

Love Island star Malin Andersson has revealed how she welcomed her newborn baby through the same Caesarean section scar her late daughter was born through.

The 29-year-old called the experience "bitter sweet" and said how good it feels "to be a mum again".

Sharing a sweet black and white snap on social media, Malin wrote: "I ended up having an emergency c-section with her, they took her out of the same scar Consy came from.. that was a bittersweet experience for me which I needed to take in after.

"I can’t even describe the amount of love she has given us, and how it feels to be a mum again - but to a healthy baby. I look at her and I have to pinch myself."

The influencer said that her little one was "the spit" of her dad, and said she was jealous of her thick black hair.

The couple announced they were expecting in August last year and have kept fans up to date with her pregnancy journey.

The pair became official in 2021 after they had been friends for around five years before they started dating.

She has kept her relationship with Jared out of the limelight after saying that "this bit of happiness deserves my privacy in which I will cherish for now."

Malin became a mum for the first time in 2018 when she gave birth to Consy, who was named after her mum who passed away from cancer in 2017.

Baby Consy was born seven weeks early on 23 December and tragically never came out of the hospital.

The little girl died at Great Ormond Street Hospital when she was just four and a half weeks old.

Sharing a photo of the baby surrounded by tubes, Malin wrote at the time: "Today - your heart stopped beating for me.

"I could feel you whisper in my ear that you wanted to live pain free, and that your end of time was near.

"One last glance you gave me, and then you were gone.."

The TV personality, who had appeared on the second series of Love Island, said that her mum wanted the baby to be with her in heaven.

She wrote: "My baby was in an incubator, tubed up, a monitor screen was the only communication I could have with her to see how she was coping.

"She wasn’t just born, then slowly drifted away.. She was alive for a month fighting to live - and that’s what you don’t see," she added.
