Love Island's Luca says he's been 'violated' as he cuts short holiday after home break in

Shaken Love Island runner-up Luca Bish says he's been 'violated' having cut short his holiday after his house was broken into.

He has rushed home to the UK from his break in Switzerland after his family home was raided by thieves.

The Brighton-based hunk was enjoying a winter getaway after told about the robbery - and jumped on a plane back to Britain.

Former fishmonger Luca released a statement on social media and told fans about the traumatic dash.

Luca took to Instagram to update his 1.5 million followers about the break in, confirming that although material things were lost, his family were now "fearing being in their home".

He wrote: "Going into the public eye comes with so many positives and I want to be able to share my day to day with you without the fear that there are people watching with ill intentions.

"Materialistic things can be replaced, however, my family fearing being in our home and knowing you've been violated in such a way is a feeling you can never describe.

"Fortunately we have high security throughout the home, so everything is now with the police.

"Be careful this time of the year and keep safe."

Luca recently split from fellow Love Island contestant Gemma Owen and was enjoying the time away with his relatives.

The pair made it to the final but came second to winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti.

Gemma and Luca continued their relationship outside of the villa before confirming their split just three months in.

Gemma, 19, had announced the breakup via her Instagram account, claiming it "wasn’t an easy decision" but one that "ultimately is what is best for us both".

Luca added: "I would have liked some time to process this privately but as you all already now know, sadly Gemma and I made the mutual decision earlier today to go our separate ways."
