Luca Bish confronted Dami Hope and Indiyah Pollack in the Love Island villa after finding out they had voted him and Gemma Owen as one of the least compatible couples.
Sunday's episode of the ITV2 show saw the final five couples have to discreetly decide in their pairs who they felt were the two least compatible couples of the other four.
Everyone except Dami and Indiyah received at least one vote, meaning that they were not at risk of being dumped – with viewers choosing which of the others went home.
It was revealed in tonight's episode that Paige Thorne and Adam Collard had received the fewest number of votes from viewers, with them seen dumped from the villa.
And although it would have been a relief for Luca, he wasn't impressed to discover that Dami and Indiyah had voted him and Gemma as one of the least compatible couples.
They hadn't been alone though – with Paige and Adam, as well as Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti having also opted to vote for Luca and Gemma in the recent vote.
During the penultimate episode of the latest series, a fuming Luca was seen addressing the vote with Dami and Indiyah – confronting the couple in a conversation with Gemma.
He said: "We know you picked us. I want to know why really. I don't think the whole time you've ever said 'oh I don't think you [two] are compatible'. You know how strong we are."
Indiyah responded by saying that her and Dami don't feel that way, commenting: "It's not that you're not compatible, that wasn't the question. It's the least compatible."
Sharing the reasons for their vote, she suggested it was due to some tension, saying: "We know arguments are normal but it's the stuff you're arguing about and how they end."

Asked to expand, she added: "Small little things like you lot in the challenge and your sort of protectiveness – I feel like it was a little bit blown out of proportion."
Dami commented: "It's not that we don't think you're compatible at all. We do think you're a strong couple. [...] Our opinion doesn't mean anything at the end of the day."
He remarked during the conversation that it doesn't matter what other couples think of Luca and Gemma, saying: "When you get out, if you guys want it to work, it's gonna work."
Gemma encouraged Luca at one point to let the other couple explain their opinion without "fighting back," though he didn't seem amused by their explanation of the vote.
"We know about it, that's all that mattered," he said, as the conversation came to a close, with him then heading off with Gemma to have a chat elsewhere in the villa.
