Love Island’s Luca breaks silence on explosive Dami row after being labelled ‘fake’

Love Island’s Luca Bish has addressed his Casa Amor row with fellow Islander Dami Hope after the stars returned to social media following the tense live final.

The co-stars came to blows in the villa in a searing argument which saw Dami brand Luca “fake” as he implied the Brighton fishmonger was acting tactically to win the ITV2 show.

However, as the pair returned to Instagram in a live video with their followers, the pair revealed they rowed more than once in the villa.

Speaking candidly after leaving the villa, Luca said: “We were so close and very similar so that's why we said it how it is.”

Standing next to him, Dami admitted: “We had a few spats in there.”

Luca continued: “And that’s why we had disagreements, that’s why we fell out, but we love each other in the end.”

The pair fell out after Casa Amor after Dami decided to get to know Summer Botwe, despite being coupled up with Indiyah Polack, after the girls had left the main villa.

During a conversation about the situation, Luca insisted he wasn't interested in winning and wouldn't care if he and Gemma Owen left the villa.

However, Dami accused him of being fake, saying: “Just be real for once. You're fake, bro. You say one thing then do another thing.”

Luca then appeared to question Dami's feelings for Indiyah and the pair’s row escalated.

Dami said: “I just told you how I feel about Indiyah but you're trying to tell me I've done something wrong. I don't feel I've done anything wrong.”

As Luca attempted to reply, Dami told him: “Shut the f*** up,” before Luca then said: “You're a child. You're talking b******* mate.”

He added: “I don't think, other than you, any other boy here would say I'm fake.”

The pair quickly subsequently resolved their issues, only for tempers to flare ahead of the final when Luca confronted Dami and Indiyah Polack after finding out they had voted him and Gemma as one of the least compatible couples.

Sunday's episode of the ITV2 show saw the final five couples discreetly decide in their pairs who they felt were the two least compatible couples of the other four.

Luca wasn't impressed to discover that Dami and Indiyah had been among the three votes they received from their fellow Islander couples – with Paige and Adam, as well as Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sancliment.

A fuming Luca confronted the couple in a conversation with Gemma, saying: "We know you picked us. I want to know why really. I don't think the whole time you've ever said 'oh I don't think you [two] are compatible'. You know how strong we are."

Gemma encouraged Luca at one point to let the other couple explain their opinion without "fighting back," though he didn't seem amused by their explanation of the vote.
