ITV defended Love Island's host Laura Whitmore after viewers complained to Ofcom about Aftersun.
Love Island has been under fire in recent days, with many viewers accusing some contestants of being 'misogynistic'.
Many viewers also complained to the regulating body and accused Luca Bish and Dami Hope of 'bullying' deaf contestant Tasha Ghouri.
During Aftersun on Sunday, Laura made a comment about Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and her antics during her time in Casa Amor.
Ofcom received 427 complaints about Sunday's episode of the spin-off relating to Laura's remark about the Turkish actress. The complaints were also about the treatment of Jacques O'Neill
.
Laura said: "Once again Ekin-Su swore that nothing happened with George and it seems Davide doesn’t believe her."
She laughed before Tom Grennan added: "It deffo happened though, didn’t it."
Comedian Darren Harriott then said: "She said her head never turned but I think her hand might have turned, and possibly wrist."
The presenter then asked Capital FM DJ Sian Welby what she thought about Ekin-Su's moment in Casa Amor.
"Laura is the presenter of the show, and part of that role is to pose questions to the panel and discuss events in the villa," ITV said.
"‘We do not condone trolling against either our host or our Islanders and any subsequent elevation of these comments," they added to Metro.co.uk.
The ITV series was hit with 3.6K Ofcom complaints after viewers accused the show of endorsing bullying tactics and nasty behaviour towards certain members of the cast.
On July 17, Love Island received a total of 2481 complaints related to alleged misogynistic behaviour by some of the male contestants.

The same night, as Aftersun aired, the ITV2 programme received 427 complaints - the majority of which related to comments made about Ekin-Su, and the treatment of Jacques during his interview.
Then, on July 18 July, Love Island received a whopping 413 complaints from furious viewers related to alleged bullying and misogynistic behaviour from some of the male contestants.
It also received 167 complaints relating to footage of Ekin-Su and George during Casa Amor.
The majority of the 129 complaints Ofcom received the week prior to that were related to Adam entering the villa, and Jacques’ wellbeing in the lead up to and during his departure from the villa.
ITV have strict procedures in place to protect the mental health and wellbeing of all the Islanders whilst in the show, before they sign up and long after they have left the villa.
