Delighted Love Island fans have branded the result of Monday's final the perfect 'revenge' for winners Kai and Sanam and runners up Ron and Lana, after they were 'snubbed' by their fellow Islanders for weeks.
After two months of dumpings, squabbles, recouplings and romance, the latest series of the ITV dating show came to an end as Kai and Sanam, Ron and Lana and fellow couples Shaq and Tanya and Tom and Samie competed for the £50,000 prize. While the atmosphere in the villa in the last few days looked rather cheery, the reality is that things have been rather fraught to say the least over the last month.
It became apparent that Ron and Kai were very much 'shunned' by the other lads in the Love Island villa, including Will, before his exit alongside Jessie on Sunday, with Lana and Sanam also on the receiving end of harsh comments from other girls on the show this year.
