Love Island star Jazmine Nichol has opened up on her terrifying experience following a battle with sepsis.
The 21-year-old bombshell - who appeared in the Casa Amor villa this year - was rushed to hospital last week after feeling "really unwell".
Whilst in hospital, Jazmine underwent emergency surgery and was later put on a drip.
Now, the reality star has spoken out about her scary ordeal with the life-threatening illness.
Jazmine updated fans on her health whilst taking part in a Q+A session, admitting her "life flashed before her eyes".
She said: "Physically I'm healing but I have to have daily hospital appointments - unsure how long this will be for but I know I'm in good hands.
"Mentally it's a lot to comprehend having your life flash before your eyes at 21. But I have the best support system and people who check in on me every day.
"I'm starting to do business meetings and getting back into a routine. Very grateful to be given this second chance at life."
It comes shortly after the Newcastle native was admitted into hospital last week.
Taking to Instagram at the time, the reality TV star shared: "Update for you all. I've taken really unwell so I'll be off my phone and not shooting any content for a while till I've recovered from surgery."
"I'm in good hands though," she continued.
Jazmine had sparked concern after she went quiet on her social media following her whirlwind Love Island experience.
Prior to her health scare, the star had accused ITV producers of 'editing her out' of the ITV2 dating show.
Although she spent four days in the Casa Amor villa - where she got close to finalist Andrew Le Page - Jazmine was 'hardly shown' on screens.
Instead, the producers mainly focused on Casa bombshell Coco Lodge 's romance with Andrew.
Addressing the drama after she watched back her time in the villa, Jazmine wrote on Instagram: "Just want to say a huge thank you for all of the love and support I’ve seen so far.
"I’m so overwhelmed with all the lovely messages I’ve seen and the funny memes!
"I’m excited for all of you to see my personality that was not shown on screen and the Jaz that the villa saw, this is only the start."
