Love Island's Jay Younger has famous football relative as fans tip him to expose Gemma Owen 'secret'

Gemma Owen has competition when it comes to Love Island contestants with a famous footballer as a relative, now that Jay Younger has entered the villa.

There have already been a few bombshells dropped on the Islanders since they entered the show at the start of last week, with Davide first up as a late arrival on day one, before Ekin-Su and Afia came in together a few days later and then Gemma's ex boyfriend Jacques O'Neill shocked her with his entrance on Sunday's show

Tuesday's episode began with Tasha and Andrew being chosen as the first couple to go into the Hideaway this series, before the Islanders took part in a mechanic themed task. Their reward for excelling in the challenge was a Shimmer and Shine party but, there were two unexpected guests who gate-crashed the party - Jay, 28, an investments analyst from Edinburgh and 22-year-old Remi Lambert, a model from Manchester.

And just like Gemma, Jay has a football star in his family, with his late granddad Tommy Younger, playing as keeper for the likes of Liverpool, Hibs and Falkirk, before his death in 1984 at the age of 53.

Jay proudly spoke about Tommy in an interview before his Love Island entrance, saying: "My grandad played for Liverpool and he was captain of Scotland back in the 1950s. He was in the hall of fame for Liverpool and he was in the hall of fame for Hibernian FC."

Given his own family football connections, some viewers are speculating that Jay might be the one to finally spill the beans about Gemma's dad being Michael Owen, while others are now, given Jacques' silence on the matter, that contestants who go in are under strict instructions not to to talk about it.
