Jacques O'Neill has faced even more heartbreak since leaving the Love Island villa as his former partner Paige Thorne moved on with Adam Collard in Sunday's episode.
The pair recoupled following Jacque's emotional exit and shared their first kiss after a dramatic Movie Night.
Adam, 26, tried to play it cool as he said the 24-year-old paramedic is "too innocent" after she didn't appear in any of the clips.
Paige giggled coyly in response and said she was an "angel".
Adam the quizzed Paige on what his chances with her are, before leaning in for a kiss.
Those close to Jacques, 23, have said the steamy scenes will have devastated the rugby star as they promised to support him through the heartache.
"The kiss is a major blow for Jacques.
"He’s told us he is besotted with Paige and there was a part of him that hoped she would realise that she missed him too and follow him out of the villa," a source told The Sun.
They added: "It’s clear she has moved on. His time on Love Island has been a really tough ride for Jacques and so we’re all rallying round for this latest blow."
The rugby player has also been offered welfare support from his old club, Castleford Tigers, after his exit from the show.
They said: "Castleford Tigers’ primary focus with Jacques at this stage will be to support him."
The club's coach, Lee Radford, also said they would be there to help Jacques deal with his problems and added his teammates were really pleased to see him.
Jacques recently appeared on Love Island's After Sun and opened up about how he had hoped things would have worked out for him and Paige outside the villa.
"We had a good connection and were really getting on.
"I did see things on the outside working between us but as I say, she's doing what she needs to do."
Jacques had previously told Paige he would wait for her until she left the show, but it seems she has moved on with Adam.
After leaving the villa, Jacques said he "couldn't cope" in the villa and admitted he was left "broken" by the show.
"I was ready to break down. I was feeling so mentally drained, I just wanted to go home and get myself right," Jacques told The Sun
He added: It broke me and I was already broken. I was crying my eyes out. I couldn’t cope. I was literally feeling awful. It was the worst I’d ever felt in my life."
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
