Iain Stirling has revealed he has dreams that he and wife Laura Whitmore become a Scottish Laird and Lady.
The well-kent lovebirds began dating in 2017 and tied the knot in 2020 before welcoming their first child together, daughter Stevie Rae, just a few months later. The power couple spent their summer narrating and hosting Love Island, as a whole host of new singletons entered the villa in the hopes of finding a connection.
Speaking of their future, during an Instagram Q&A session, Iain, 34, was asked by fans if he and Laura, 37, would consider buying a house in Scotland. Sharing a snap from Monarch of the Glen, Iain penned: "This is how I see @thewhitmore and I living in a few years..."
The first five series of Monarch of the Glen told the story of Archie MacDonald trying to revamp his childhood home in the Scottish Highlands, starring Alastair Mackenzie, Richard Briers, Susan Hampshire, and Dawn Steele. The final two seasons of the show focused on new Laird Paul Bowman trying to modernise the estate, primarily starring Lloyd Owen, Tom Baker, Alexander Morton and Susan Hampshire.
Despite his big hopes for their Scottish future, Iain and Laura actually live in a quirky North London home. Despite keeping their personal life relatively private from the public, the pair have shared glimpses of their house on social media.
The stunning property boasts a bright and airy feel to it, with the trendy couple adding lots of quirky designs, funky patterns, and colourful hues to add pops of personality to their space. Laura and Iain previously shared a look at their amazing back garden which features their very own pub.
Dubbed The Snug, the pub is kitted out with a bar, shelves of booze and glasses, a couple of bar stools and Guinness on tap. There's also outdoor seating on the decking for those lazy summer days or for entertaining guests.
Iain and Laura will also no longer be working together on the hit ITV2 dating show after the Irish presenter stepped down as the host at the end of summer. Now, Maya Jama, 28, has been announced as the new host and will take over in the new year for Winter Love Island.
