Love Island star George Fensom has explained he has "no interest" in what his fellow Islanders want to do after leaving the villa.
Tonight, viewers will see the Bedford-born singleton hopefully meet the girl of his dreams as he makes his debut in the Majorca villa alongside the likes of Mitchel Taylor and André Furtado.
But while some may be appearing on the ITV2 show to become the next Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury or Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, others may be interested in the lucrative brand deals.
Each year, Islanders often walk away with deals with some of the biggest brands which often causes their bank balances to rocket.
This, however, doesn't appeal to George, who explained to the Mirror: "That's not the person that I am, that's not the picture I want to be painted of me, making initial judgements of people.
"That's not really what I do, I take people for face value and no one knows anybody going on the show, nine times out of ten."
The 24-year-old continued: "It's really interesting that we don't know each other.
"All I'm really in there to do is get to know the lads, get to know the girls, I'm not interested in what they want to do afterwards, I'm in there to enjoy the experience and whatever happens after, happens, but that's not anything I'm worried about right now."
Elsewhere, he opened up to the Mirror about the allegations he faced from an ex-girlfriend who claimed he was "controlling" and would "constantly lie to others".
George also addressed homophobic posts from his now-deleted Twitter account, with one tweet reading: "Shut up you f****t," and a second read: "Same gay tweets day in day out."
Ahead of entering the villa, ITV had informed him that the footage and comments had resurfaced.
He said: "In regards to the account, it's really unfortunate that it's been brought up because that isn't the person that I am today
"Looking back on those tweets, I was really naive and really young to think that was the right thing to say.
"It's one of them situations, it doesn't show the man that I am today in any way, shape or form and that's pretty much it."
Social media users have called for him to be removed from the villa but George claims the tweets which were from over ten years ago have helped "him learn".
"In regards to people maybe saying that I'm not right for the villa," he said before adding: "All I would say is everyone's made mistakes, everyone has said things that they regret, the difference in the way I would defend myself is I am owning that.
"I am admitting that was the wrong thing to say."
Discussing his ex-girlfriend's TikTok, he responded: "In this scenario, I just want to be as respectful as I can towards her, I appreciate that she isn't in the public eye.
"It's really unfortunate and quite upsetting on my behalf that this picture has been painted about me in that light.
"I'm looking forward now to moving forward with things and going in the villa and providing a new wave of energy, people can see that, that isn't the George, he isn't that way."
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
